Matthew Stafford makes history with 28th consecutive TD pass without an interception
6+ min ago (171+ words) The Panthers gave the Rams good field position to start Sunday's contest and Los Angeles took full advantage of the opportunity. Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams connected for a 4-yard touchdown to give the Rams an early 7-0 lead. L.A. returner Ronnie Rivers brought the opening kickoff 46 yards back to the 50-yard line. But the Rams got another 15 from an unnecessary roughness penalty by linebacker Thomas Incoom. From there, the Rams did not even face a first down on the way into the end zone. Stafford moved the chains with passes to Puka Nacua and Colby Parkinson. He then hit Adams for a 4-yard score on second-and-3. That pass gave Stafford 28 consecutive touchdown passes without an interception, which sets a new NFL record, surpassing Tom Brady's mark. 1+ hour, 2+ min ago (147+ words) Amid his best season yet, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is climbing the list of the all-time greats, when it comes to the accumulation of passing yardage. Stafford enters the Week 13 game against the Panthers only 153 yards from leapfrogging Matt Ryan for eighth on the all-time list. Ryan had 62,792. Stafford has 62,639. After Ryan, Stafford will have 648 yards to catch Philip Rivers for No. 7. And then it's another 648 exactly to catch Ben Roethlisberger for No. 6. Getting to No. 5 depends on how much longer Aaron Rodgers plays. He currently has 64,921. It's a long way to No. 4, where Brett Favre has 71,838. Stafford currently is 9,199 behind. It'll take another two or three years to get there. Given the way Stafford is currently playing, it's not a crazy proposition....
